Etc/GMT

A residential workshop for men who wish to deepen their understanding of themselves and their purpose and passion in a safe and trusting environment. An experiential journey to awaken our dreams and explore our creativity.

The theme for this workshop is “PURPOSE AND PASSION.” We want to spark a fire for each of us along a journey of purpose and passion. Whether you may have ideas you want to incubate or just want to take time out in a nonjudgmental and supportive environment. Then this gathering of men promises to unite, inspire and add purpose and passion for all those that participate.

  • What is my purpose and passion?
  • What legacy are you creating?
  • What inspires you?
  • What do you enjoy in life?
  • What are you doing to achieve it?
  • What do you need to get started?

Activities, exercises and processes offered will be a mixture of “serious” and “fun.” Drumming, movement and celebration will vitalise the weekend.

“ So many people go through life without a direction. They just go from stop to stop. It’s like they are on a bus and the only time they get off is to piss.“
Todd Rundgren

MEN’S SUPPORT GROUP

This workshop includes 8 follow up sessions for all participants to help form an ongoing men’s support group.

A safe, confidential and trusting environment forms within the group during the weekend. Trust, friendship and mutual understanding help create a sense of belonging, which continue to grow by being part of an on-going support group. This deep level of support from men may never have been experienced before and can be life changing.

As Steve Biddulph says in Manhood, “To make personal change easier, and to make global change possible, we have to build and belong to a community of men who are working towards similar goals. If you want your life as a man really to get moving, then you could get a lot out of a men’s group.”

“You don’t have to spill your guts in a men’s group - there isn’t any pressure. Perhaps for that reason, you soon find yourself hoeing in – prompted by the similarities of your own experience with those being shared by the other men. It adds a sense of relaxation to your life (quite different to getting drunk or going fishing) because the changes are cumulative. Your life starts to make more sense. The self-made man is a myth – we all need the help of others to make and sustain change."
